In this week’s music show, we chat with an artist whose voice has been compared to Erykah Badu and who has worked with the likes of Nas, The Roots and Burna Boy. Nigerian-German singer Nneka is back with a new EP called “Back and Forth” – a reflection on the power of self-love. She’s also hitting the road and touring around France this autumn. She talks to FRANCE 24’s Jennifer Ben Brahim about her love of hip-hop, her pride at seeing Nigerian artists like Wizkid, Tems and Burna Boy becoming global superstars, and letting her creative juices flow during the Covid lockdown with her last album “Love Supreme”. She also gives us a taste of her music, with a live performance at the end of the show.
