Lili Reinhart Seemingly Teases Skin Care Brand With Makeup-Free Selfies

What is Lili Reinhart up to? The Riverdale star has something in the works, and it’s not a new TV series or movie role—it sounds like a skin care line.

On October 5, Reinhart posted a series of makeup-free selfies to Instagram to tease the apparent project, saying that her forthcoming venture was inspired by her longtime battle with acne.

“Since I was 12, I’ve struggled with acne,” Reinhart wrote. “My skin has suffered consistent breakouts, hyperpigmentation, redness, and scarring. I feel impassioned and motivated to find solutions for not only myself but others who struggle as well.”

Whatever she’s doing is working because her skin is glowing—though the golden-hour light in the photos does help up the dewy factor. “This is my skin now, makeup-free… no filter,” Reinhart wrote. She ended her photo carousel with a hint at what’s to come, saying that she “can’t wait” to share what she’s been doing since she said goodbye to Betty Cooper and her ponytail.

A celebrity launching their own skin care line is absolutely nothing new; it’s basically a rite of passage these days. Are you really a star if you don’t have a beauty line? All signs point to no. Commenters were quick to point this out on Reinhart’s post, with many of them saying something along the lines of “Let me guess, you’re making a skin care brand?”

We don’t really need another celebrity-fronted beauty brand on the shelves at Sephora or Ulta next to Rihanna’s Fenty Skin, Ariana Grande’s R.E.M. beauty, Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty, or Kylie Skin. That said, the actor’s skin does look amazing, so we’ll be keeping tabs on what Lili Reinhart is cooking up regardless.
