A writer who grew up in Jamaica under the strict supervision of her Rastafarian father has spoken to FRANCE 24 about her ambition to write about what happened to her and ensure people don’t simply think about the picture-postcard image of her country. Safiya Sinclair’s book “How to Say Babylon” has now been translated into French, under the title “Dire Babylon”.
