Frontier Airlines Is Giving Away Free Flights for a Year — How to Win

If you love to travel, there’s perhaps no sweeter phrase than “free flights.” And that’s exactly what Frontier Airlines is offering up in its Family Summer Getaway Sweepstakes.

One lucky grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 flight voucher each month for a year — all in, that’s enough for an estimated 12 round-trip flights for a family of four. Plus, 100 additional winners will receive a one-time $1,000 voucher.

“Frontier is all about families, from our ultra-low fares to the fun animals on our plane tails, and we are thrilled to help make family vacation dreams come true this summer with this fun and exciting giveaway,” Tyri Squyres, Frontier Airlines vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “Summer break is the perfect opportunity to form memories that will last a lifetime, and families can do so affordably and conveniently when they choose to fly Frontier.”

An ultra-low-cost carrier, Frontier flies to more than 100 destinations throughout the U.S., Central America, and the Caribbean, including such popular destinations as Cancun, Mexico; Miami, Florida; and Los Angeles, California. The airline recently underwent a major overhaul, eliminating change and cancellation fees for most fares; upgrading its seating options to include UpFront Plus, which blocks the middle seat à la European-style business class; and expanding its flight credit validity from three months to 12 months.

To enter the sweepstakes, visit signup.flyfrontier.com/familysummergetaway, read the fine print, and submit your information any time from now through July 2.

And if you don’t win? Well, the good news is that Frontier flights cost as little as $29, so you could still score a cheap fare for a future trip. Plus, Frontier also offers the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly pass, which can be booked for a month ($149), the summer ($499), or the entire year ($599). They’re not quite as good as free flights, but they can be a solid deal nonetheless.
