Cannes chronicles: A #MeToo red carpet photo to signify an end to women being silenced

Before Judith Godrèche kickstarted a #MeToo wave in the French film industry, she was one of the first prominent actors to go on the record against Harvey Weinstein. Godrèche and the film’s collaborators walked the Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet Thursday to take a photo with collaborators on her film “Moi Aussi – Me too”, which is dedicated to survivors of sexual abuse. Together, they stood on the steps of the Palais des Festivals with hands covering their mouths. Eve Jackson tells us more.
