‘Black Bodies’: The woman fighting discrimination in the French fashion industry

As Paris Fashion Week kicks off, we meet a woman who’s challenging the French fashion industry to do more to tackle discrimination and put Black people on an equal footing with their White counterparts. Christelle Bakima Poundza has written a book entitled “Corps Noir”, or “Black Bodies: Reflections on Modelling, Fashion and Black Women” as she aims to ensure Black women are better represented on the catwalk, in publicity adverts and behind the scenes. She joined us for Perspective to tell us more.
