I don’t know about you, but for me, every fall it feels like a new beginning. I’m not sure if it’s that end-of-summer feeling or if it’s that back-to-school nostalgia, but the fall months feel like the perfect time to reinvent yourself. The best place to start is your closet. The start of a new season is always a good time to take stock of which items you wore last season that you loved and will be keeping and also which ones you’re ditching for this new one.
Once you’ve gotten rid of the old and are ready to replenish some items in your wardrobe, it’s time to figure out what your style aesthetic is going to be for the new season. This is my favorite part about the seasons changing: You can have a “tomato girl summer” filled with Lisa Says Gah printed pants and breezy coastal accessories and go into fall with an “old money” aesthetic filled with high-quality tailored basics and bouclé jackets.
This fall I decided to bring in the big guns and ask our editorial team what style aesthetics they’re loving for the upcoming season. Eight of our editors gave me their two cents, and trust me when I say this: You’re going to want to bookmark all of them.
